Savium Share is an iPhone app for splitting expenses in a group. It is made and maintained by Manuel de la Torre. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
Savium Share does not ask for an email, phone number or password, and has no sign-in. Each group has an 8-character code; anyone who knows the code can view and edit that group. Only share the code with people you trust.
The app does not use your location, contacts or microphone, shows no ads and does not track you across apps or websites. It uses no advertising identifiers or third-party analytics.
On your iPhone, so the app works offline, and on a server run by Supabase, so group members can share it. The server can only be accessed with the group's code. Receipt photos are kept in private storage and are only delivered to people with the group's code.
The Home Screen widget reads a summary of your balances that the app saves on the iPhone itself.
Only to make the app work: showing the group's expenses and balances, syncing them between members and working out how to settle up. It is not sold or shared with third parties.
The author may view aggregate usage statistics (for example, the total number of groups and expenses, or which currencies are used) to improve the app. These statistics do not include group or people's names.
To learn where and how much it is used, the app sends your iPhone's region setting (not your location), language and app version: when a group is created and at most once a day when it opens. They are stored as daily counts, with no identifier that could tell who you are.
If you use “Help Us Improve”, your message is stored together with your region, language and app version, plus your email only if you choose to enter it to get a reply.
A group's data is kept while the group exists. In the app you can delete expenses, leave a group (it is removed from your iPhone) or delete the group for everyone, which removes the group, its people, its expenses and its receipt photos from the server. If you can't do it from the app, write to manoloto@hotmail.com with the group's code and it will be deleted within 30 days. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your iPhone.
When the last iPhone leaves a group, the group is fully deleted from the server after 7 days unless someone rejoins. Notices are deleted after 30 days, and confirmed or declined payments 30 days after they are resolved.
Savium Share is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, this page will be updated with a new date.
